Every patient has their own thread, kept safe in their patient portal. You can write to one person or to several at once, and you're the one who decides who can reply.

“Seen” appears under your messages once your patient has read them. Your dashboard also flags the conversations waiting for a reply.
In their portal, your patient finds all their conversations with you, from any browser. There's nothing to install, and unread messages are waiting for them as soon as they log in.

Can I bring my notebook to our next session?
Your practitioner will find it in your conversation.
A patient who sees several therapists has a separate thread with each of them. Messaging lives in the online patient portal, so it works on a computer or a phone.
Your conversations stay safe in the patient's secure portal. When you write to them, an email simply invites them to come and read your message, and every new message from them is flagged for you in SessionFuel.

On your side, every message from a patient is flagged in SessionFuel, so nothing slips through the cracks.
Decide how messaging works for all your patients at once, then adjust case by case when someone's care calls for it. Your patient always keeps access to the history of your conversations.
